How to Make Kava - Traditional Method

Step 1: Add 2-3 Tablespoons to the strainer bag. 
Step 2: Fill a basin with 600-800ml water
Step 3: Knead bag in water for approx 3-4min until water is nice and dark. 
Step 4: Drink approx 100ml at a time in one go.
Follow up with another cup every 10-15min while you do other things.
I.e. Don't sip the 100ml just drink the lot. Have the next 100ml shot about 10-15min apart.

NO! Mixing kava with alcohol or other substances is not advised, as it may amplify the sedative effects and increase the risk of adverse reactions. Always consult with a healthcare professional if you are taking medications or have concerns about potential interactions.

11. Are there any specific guidelines for kava consumption?
We recommed drinking 100-150ml shots every 10-15min. If you are just starting out I would recommend mixing approximately 1lt of water with 5-6tbspn of kava powder.
This should be consumed within 45min to 1hr. 

12. Can pregnant or breastfeeding women consume kava?
- It is advisable for pregnant or breastfeeding women to avoid kava, as its safety in these situations has not been well studied. With that said many women in the Pacific drink moderate amounts of kava during pregnancy.
